This is because of the picturesque views that it has to offer and the quality of water that is available at the beach. It has won awards for the crystal clear blue water that it offers to its visitors. Other than this, it comprises three pale sandy beaches that stretch one after the other. The beach is open throughout the year and welcomes the visitors during daylight hours of the day. There is no lifeguard service available at any time of the year therefore, the parents must remain careful of their children. 

The access to the beach is completely free of cost however, the charges of the activities later add on like for camping and other activities. Some of the other facilities available at the beach include car park facilities by the beach administration. Other than that, toilet facilities are also available. To facilitate the visitors, there is a restaurant near the beach where the visitors can buy snacks and refreshments after an exhausting day at the beach. This long stretch of sand is an ideal place for you to go for a free stroll and enjoy the ambience of the beach. 

Morar Beach

Another famous beach located in Mallaig is the Morar beach. It is a long stretch of sand that is stunning in its way. The beach is famous for the silver sands that it comprises. These silver sands along with the aqua blue water at the beach double the beauty of this place and add to a better display. It is pleasing to watch this beautiful combination. The silver sands enhance the beauty of the beach under the sun when they shine and look even more stunning. There is a complete guarantee that you will have a great day at the Morar beach considering the picturesque views of the beach. 

The water here is usually warm so do not hesitate and bring your swimming costumes along with you to swim the day away. The water is shallow at Morar beach so it is even feasible for the little kids to spend their time splashing the water and enjoying it in their way. The month that experiences the highest amount of rainfall in December which is approximately 202 mm while the month that experiences the lowest amount of rainfall in May which is 80 mm. 

The average temperature of Mallaig is 8.8 degrees Celsius or 47.8 degrees Fahrenheit. The month that experiences the highest amount of temperature is July which is 14.3 degrees Celsius while the month that experiences the lowest amount of temperature is January which is 3.6 degrees Celsius or 38.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
