What Is Mesa, Arizona Famous For?

No place on earth is better than Mesa, Arizona, at mixing desert life with Christmas and that is one of the reasons that make this city a fascinating place to visit. 

Mesa is a suburb located east of Phoenix in Maricopa County, the largest population county of the state. It is part of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and is listed in the East Valley section.

Mesa is by all standards a desert city. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have water. The city has plenty of nearby water areas for recreation, drinking, and other functions. This includes two rivers and three lakes all within a short drive.

Higher-paying jobs are all around Mesa as the city is the base for such well-known corporations as FujiFilm, PCT International, Mitel, Infineon, Boeing, Telenics, and Ulthera among many others.

Mesa is heavily influenced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is a temple there and the church is a big part of the city’s history as its members created a trail traveling before 1926 to participate in a ritual sealing of marriage.

Mesa is the home to the Mesa Amphitheater, the Arizona Museum of Natural History, and the Mesa Convention Center.
