What is Nevada Known for?
Nevada is a state on the west side of the United States of America. Nevada’s most famous location is Las Vegas.
California borders it on the west, Idaho and Oregon on the north, Utah to the east, and Arizona to the south.
Nevada produces more gold than any other state in the United States. Their gold production rivals that of much larger countries.
Nevada features primarily arid desert and grassland and rugged mountains. The west side of the state shares the Sierra Nevada Mountain range with California.
The largest lake in Nevada is the manmade Lake Mead.
You can also Ski on Mt. Rose in Tahoe. Note that many of the trails are for intermediate and advanced skiers.
As the proudly proclaimed “biggest little city in the world,” Reno is something of a well-rounded Nevada experience.
