Cromer is a coastal town and a traditional seaside resort which is famous for a number of beautiful attractions that it offers to the people. Beaches in Norfolk

It is officially declared that Norfolk comprises some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of England. There are a total of six beaches in the district and they are all blue flag beaches because of the quality of water and service that they provide to the visitors. Cromer beach

One of the most prominent beaches in Norfolk is Cromer. It is known to have a Victorian pier which is considered as an ideal spot for crabbing. Cromer beach is a long stretch of sand. It is a peaceful area where one can sit and watch the boats catch the Cromer crab. Since there are a huge number of crabs found here, the crab is known as ‘Cromer Crab’. Closer to the shore, there is a Cromer Shoals chalk bed which is very old as it was formed when Dinosaurs roamed here. 

It is reputed as the longest chalk bed which can be seen when one swims out or snorkels. If you ever visit Cromer beach, do not forget to swim so that you can have a look at this chalk bed. The views that Cromer beach provides to its visitors are very appealing and attractive as it is characterised by pristine sands and green cliffs that add colour to the scenery. Other than this, the dainty Victorian buildings revive the old world charm and making this place an enchanting one. 

Brancaster beach

Brancaster beach is another beautiful beach in Norfolk which is a long stretch of golden sand. When the sun rises, the golden sands shine and the colour of the sand becomes magical. This view is worth watching and capturing. Make sure you bring your cameras along with you to capture the beautiful natural scenery that Brancaster beach has to offer. Also, to enhance the beauty, make sure you visit the beach at the time of sunset or at the time of sunrise for better pictures and picturesque views. 

This beach also has its historical significance and this can be seen when the tide is out. An old shipwreck can be seen which are the remains of SS Vina. The history lovers would know about this and will be excited to have a look at it. Brancaster beach is the ideal location for them. This long stretch of sand is also best suitable for the dogs as they can walk comfortably on sand. 

Hunstanton beach

Another beautiful beach is the Hunstanton beach which is known for the dramatic sunsets that can be seen from here. Since the beach faces west and that is why it is one of the sunniest beaches of all. It is a very elegant Victorian resort which is built so beautifully that it offers an amazing backdrop to the sea. It is a family favourite beach as the open area can be used by families for sports and picnics.

Other than this, there are a number of rock pools in the area that can be explored by the families, and also another prominent activity that can be seen at the Hunstanton beach is kite surfing. People are very enthusiastic about it. There is so much to offer to the visitors. Make sure when you visit the beach, you reserve an entire day because the diverse options will make you come again and again to the beach. 

Things to do in Cromer Norfolk

Other than the beautiful and attractive beaches that can be found in and around Cromer, there is a range of beautiful places that can also be visited by the tourists.

Amazona Zoo

One of these is the Amazona Zoo which offers a variety of species of animals and birds. This diversity of biomass can be very interesting and appealing to those who like to explore more about nature. 

Cromer Parish Church

Moreover, there is a Cromer Parish Church which is a very historical monument that was built in the 15th century and was restored in the 19th century. This beautifully built monument is kept in the same way as before. Although there are a lot of small churches in Norfolk, Cromer Parish Church is one of the most visited ones which is more historical rather than religious. 

The mesmerising interior and the exterior of the church attracts a huge number of people from different parts of the country. It is one of the most beautiful churches in the world. Also, the staff and volunteers that are employed are very helpful and respecting which makes your experience even more pleasing. If you plan to visit Cromer, do not forget to pass by the Cromer Parish Church as it is worth visiting. 

Cromer Weather

The climate of Cromer is generally warm, temperate, and also mild. It is approximately 31 meters above sea level. The amount of precipitation is significant throughout the year even in the driest month which is February. The amount of rainfall in February is 42 mm. July is the hottest month in which the temperature rises to approximately 18 degrees Celsius while January is the coolest month in which the temperature falls to approximately 3.8 degrees Celsius. The ideal time is to visit in April or May as the temperature is controlled at that time and it will not create any hindrance in the journey.
