Hialeah is in Miami-Dade County on the very south-eastern tip of Florida. This is the most southern stretch of the Atlantic coast in the US. Hialeah is nestled in between the large hub of Miami on the coast and the great expanse of national preserves inland.
The most well-known park in Hialeah is the Amelia Earhart Park, which spreads across 515 acres. It is named after the female pilot, Amelia Earhart, who departed from Hialeah on her last flight from Miami.
