Summer vacations are just around the corner. Everyone’s discussing their plans for the vacations but you’re still confused, wherever do I go this summer?

We say, go to Las Vegas, end of story. Now we know you must have a lot of impending questions, and we’re going to answer them one by one:

Where exactly is Las Vegas?

Las Vegas, or more commonly known as Vegas, is a United States city located in Mojave Desert in southeastern Nevada, bordering Arizona and California. Surrounded by desert vegetation and Dry Mountains here and there, it’s a relatively naturally endowed city state, compared to others, but that’s not exactly its most prominent feature. 

How big is Las Vegas, and how populous?

Considered the hub of economic and commercial activity in Nevada, Las Vegas is a significantly large city with an area of 215 square km. Not only that, it has the population to match the area as well, being a home to over 600,000 people. 

Being one of the most populous cities of the United States, and the most populous in Nevada, it’s no wonder Las Vegas is a hot tourist destination for people looking to spend their time surrounded by entertainment, activities and its most prominent feature: the never-ending hustle and bustle. 

Is Las Vegas a good place to live?

Outdoors: Being a city with a very busy outdoor life, the quality of life and standard of living are quite high. Furthermore, being the economic and commercial hub of Nevada, Vegas is one of the fastest growing cities in America, economically and exponentially. 

Weather: In addition to that, the weather of Vegas is loved by most. Annually, Vegas encounters over 9 months worth of sunshine with a small amount of precipitation, with the springs and summers being the best times of the year, climate-wise. 

Cost of Living: According to the locals currently residing there, Las Vegas is a very good place to live since the cost of living is reasonably low compared to other city states of America. Real estate prices are affordably so, minimally being $200,000 to $300,000. The community culture of Vegas is also very diverse, depending on the kind of place you want to live in. 

Entertainment: Furthermore, if you’re looking for a place bursting with entertainment and always on-the-go, then Vegas should be number one in your list of potential places to visit and live at. The excitement factor keeps the locals busy and occupied with their lives, and provides an escape from their monotonous routines.

What are the best areas to live in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas has its fair share of suburban neighborhoods. The diversity in the type of communities it has is impressive considering how large of a city it is. Depending on your marital status and social preference, there are tons of places you could live in when in Vegas.

For the singles out there, and those who value their personal space and time, the best places to inhabit would be Henderson, Downtown Summerlin, Lone Mountain, or the Downtown near Container Park. 

If the marital status differs, for example if you prefer tightly knit and social communities, then the suggested places for you to seek residence would be Green Valley, Centennial Hills, or Sever Hills. 

Pertaining to tourists, the best areas to live at while visiting would be Henderson, Summerlin, Downtown, and Chinatown to name a few. For the best hotel options; The Strip is a world-famous tourist favorite, because of the variety of hotel options it offers plus the quality of in-hotel services and activities. 

What is Las Vegas known for? 

Nicknamed the city that never sleeps or the city of lights, Las Vegas is one place that keeps you hooked throughout your stay, however long it may be. Also known as the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas certainly doesn’t shy away from its reputation. From offering various casino options to bars, theaters and much more, you’ll never run out of things to do here. 

Primarily known for its nightlife, people come here to indulge in shopping, gambling, fine dining and many other hobbies. The hotels here are one of the finest in the world, some being the most renowned as well. 

Las Vegas also has an affiliation with the entertainment industry as most American movies use Vegas as a shooting location for their projects. This has made the city famous for its cameos in various music videos, movies and theater plays. 

Other than that, Las Vegas is a great option for young adults who want to indulge in numerous forms of adult entertainment, for example, gambling. The casinos are a sight to behold, being impeccably constructed. If you’re visiting the city for the first time and are a fan of gambling and chance games, make sure to visit Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Caesar’s Palace, or Aria Resort. 

Being a big city, there are many tourist attractions privy to Las Vegas, some of them being; the Fremont street (known for its visual art displays, musical shows and expos), the Grand Canyon (being a globally known natural attraction), the Venetian Hotel (made to resemble the landscape of Venice), Eiffel Tower (the American rendition), the Fountain show in Bellagio Resort, and the Mob Museum. 

Why should you visit Las Vegas?

For vacation or recreational purposes, Las Vegas has been one of the top ten desired locations for tourism, because of obvious reasons. It offers the perfect blend of art, history, music, theater, cuisine, and culture along with natural and man-made attractions. 

As for the characteristics of the city itself, it has proved to be very hospitable, entertaining, as well as kind to its visitors and locals. In here you can’t run out of things to do, as the city provides a myriad of services and entertainment possibilities. 

Furthermore, the diverse ethnic as well as suburban culture and structural layout of the city provides the perfect escape from monotony. Suffice to say, boredom will not be any of your concern while being in Las Vegas.
